Read MoreThe first Villa Mamas, in the Saar district of Bahrain, opened in 2012 as an extension of Roaya Saleh’s home. Reminiscent of a childhood spent on her family’s farms and in the kitchen with her mother and grandmother, Roaya’s cooking uses local, seasonal ingredients as the starting point for new and traditional dishes from Bahrain and Persia as well as those inspired by her world travels.
The Villa Mamas family has grown over the years. Alongside the original restaurant, three international restaurants have opened in London, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.
At Villa Mamas, our ethos is deeply rooted in the celebration of ingredients and their origins. We hold a profound belief in the importance of sourcing locally grown, organic, and seasonal produce, not only for its superior quality but also for its positive impact on the community and the environment. By forging strong relationships with local farmers and producers, we ensure that every dish that graces our tables is a tribute to the richness of our region's bounty.

Villa Mamas offers a variety of small batch, gourmet retail items sold both online worldwide and at each of our locations. These items range from pickles, some of which sourced directly from Roaya’s garden, to homeware and our best selling cookbook.
Our retail range allows our guests to bring Villa Mamas home with them, with the experience lasting far beyond their time at the restaurant.
